Environmental

Overview

Members of St Philips Environmental Law team provide high quality advice and advocacy across a wide range of Environmental issues. We provide assistance to individuals and companies and are also regularly instructed by the Environment Agency and Local Authorities. We offer experience at all levels.  The breadth of experience within the team also enables us to provide a complete service where matters cross the civil / enforcement boundaries. Members of the team are regularly involved in high profile complex cases across the country.  Experience includes waste management, illegal waste sites, ozone depletion, serious water pollution requiring European wide notification and permitting issues. We have experience of handling some of the rarer types of environmental matters such as permit condition appeals and civil penalties. Our members regularly deal with the Statutory Nuisance work, which can often be both politically sensitive for local authorities and threaten the livelihood of businesses. We are able to provide the specialist knowledge necessary in this area where cases are won or lost on the trickier technicalities with respect to drafting of notices. Whatever the issue, we can provide an appropriate specialist practitioner to assist.
