Family Finance Team

Overview

The barristers of St Philips Family Finance are specialists in all aspects of financial work following relationship breakdown (whether in relation to married couples, unmarried couples or LGBT/civil partners). Our barristers are also experts in financial provision following death and the maintenance of children. Our barristers are aware of the financial and emotional costs of these cases for our clients. We strive to provide a service that combines sensitivity, thorough preparation, fearless advocacy and pragmatism.  We are aware that each case is different yet the core values that we bring to each case are the same. We advise and represent clients in a broad range of cases. Our barristers are experienced in dealing with high net worth cases involving complex issues such as family businesses, companies, trusts, pension assets, third party claims and injunctive relief. We are also asked to advise and represent clients in limited assets cases where the need for a practical and cost effective solution is pressing. Our barristers are adept at providing initial advice to our clients and solicitors and working as part of a team throughout either the pre proceedings stage or the court led process. We find that best outcomes are achieved with this type of early involvement and continuity of Counsel. Our barristers are committed to continuing to improve both the level of service that we offer and our skill set. This means that we regularly participate in seminars (internal and external) and are regular supporters of Resolution events. We are proud of the fact that members of the team have been ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners UK. These external recommendations underline our commitment to our core values. The team also includes Recorders and Deputy District Judges. St Philips Family Finance is an experienced and supportive team committed to providing specialist advice and representation throughout the country.
