We recognise that clients demand specialist knowledge from barristers who are technically astute, excellent in court and aware of wider commercial issues and personable.
Following a week’s trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court, a jury convicted Nathaniel Nugent, described as a recording artist, of attempting to murder his ex-partner’s new partner. Mr Nugent stabbed Mr Gordon 3 times to the chest after climbing through Kiah Samuel’s window in the early hours of 24/7/21.
Mr Gordon survived after a surgeon was rapidly dispatched to provide life-saving treatment at the scene. Mr Nugent unsuccessfully argued he was trying to rescue his ex-partner from an attack being carried out by Mr Gordon, and whilst realising he would inflict harm on Mr Gordon, he did not intend his death.
